Shelf of books with ebook markedWe’re always trying to find new ways of helping our students use our services and resources without having to print out ¬†or use large handouts or help sheets.

As a result of our induction session on using Dawsonera ebooks last week with the Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) students we’ve created an easy prototype zed card or zcard that the students can carry around in their pockets. You may be asking what a zcard is. It’s a concertina-style fold out card which you can use as a marketing tool for promoting your business or services. Find out more about it and it’s inventor on the Wikipedia Zcard page

We’ve adapted the text from Dawson’s Help area so it fits onto a collapsible card. We’ll be testing it out this week to get feedback from the students before it goes to print. We’ll let you know what they think and how successful it is.
