Shadow Line

Posted on: September 26, 2014

This week our Access to Higher Education (HE) Humanities and Social Sciences students started at our college. As part of their history unit they’ll be looking at the rise of fascism. As a result we’re recording the new BBC2 series Long Shadow which started this Wednesday 24 September presented by David Reynolds from Cambridge University. It’s examining the aftermath and effects of World War I.

If you missed the episode it’s being rebroadcast at 1150 on Monday 29 September – otherwise catch up with it on BBC iPlayer. Next week’s episode is set to focus on what happened in the Soviet Union, France, Great Britain, Italy and the United States of America  in the interwar period. Read about this episode Ballots and Bullets on the BBC website.

We’ve also been adding to our books and ebooks to cover fascism so here’s a catalogue taster for you. More will be added shortly…
